Step 1) Find the total square footage of the footprint of the areas you will be spraying. This includes the living area as well as the garage. (Porches and outdoor sheds and barns are excellent areas to spray LO/MIT as well.)
Step 2) Find the pitch of your particular roof over each footprint area and multiply each area by the appropriate slope multiplier from the table above.
Step 3) Add these calculated areas to other flat surfaces to be sprayed such as gable ends to determine the estimated total square footage for your application. (Add 15-20% to your square footage to account for the surface area of roof and gable trusses.)
Step 4) Make note of your square footage and return to the submission form.
